The Disappointing Barbecue

Posted on 24 August 202024 August 2020 by Rachel

Today, we tried to have a barbecue but it didn’t go very well. For a start, the weather was ADJECTIVE and it started to VERB. We tried to light the fire but it kept going out. There was a lot of NOUN but not much heat. Jeremy said his big NOUN ought to do the trick but even that was useless. Tom brought some NOUNS to cook but he didn’t bring any sausages. I really love NOUNS on the barbecue. I was disappointed about the lack of NOUNS. Hannah had made a salad but that was a bit ADJECTIVE. I mean, whoever heard of a salad containing only NOUN and NOUN? She had smothered it in LIQUID but that really didn’t help. Oliver had made bread which he ADVERB presented as if it was the most wonderful thing ever but, in truth, it was ADJECTIVE. It had the texture of NOUN and the taste of NOUN. What with the ADJECTIVE weather and the ADJECTIVE food, this was not an experience I am keen to repeat. I’ll think ADVERB before trying that again.
